:eusa_clap Some wonderful sewing going on!

I wanted to share a mother-daughter set of aprons I made for my sister and little niece (who is still a toddler).

There's an inspiring collection of scans from "Ten All American Novel Aprons" produced by White Sewing Machine Company in 1940 at Dorothy's Home Goods that I used for design inspiration (especially 'Gingham Girl' and the 'Hollywood' aprons for these two):

Those are lovely! I'm sure your sister and niece will be thrilled to receive them. Thanks for the link!

Here's the dress I made for the offic Christmas party that happened today.
It's a mixture of
  • Simplicity 3673, : The skirt and waist area
  • 3774 : The upper part of the bodice
  • and Vogue 2903. : The sleeves

I made it from this green linen that had been waiting in my stash since last Spring. It was 50% off but still $5 a yrd, so I was saving it for something special. 3673 and 2904 are repros while 3774 is one of my favorite pattern tops, I've used it three times so far :)

That's beautiful! I've been playing with that same bodice and skirt combo in my head for weeks, after seeing a vintage pattern just like that go for a ton of money on eBay. It's stunning!

Finally, what I've made!!

Ok, finally, I had pictures of some of the things I've made. There are also dozens of items I have altered, repaired, redyed, relined, but technically I didn't make those, so they don't count.
Also keep in mind, the pictures are sloppy- most of this stuff has been smashed in my closet for some time.
Also, this is a SAMPLE of things I've made- a lot of darker color just don't photo well! Maybe I'll post a few more things though.

Enjoy!

Which ones do you mean? The men's are supposed to be salmon pink... the women's are orange.. I think I need to calibrate my monitor. [huh]

The ones with the side buttons...awesome!

Here's my version of the Simplicity dress. Brocade was on sale and I fell in love with this fabric. The problem is I've never worked with Brocade before. This dress isn't perfect but it's not that bad considering. Go easy on me.
