Seems very similar to a suit Haines wore in the film "Spring Fever" from 1927. What do you guys think?

Floey posted once this 1931 illustration of an evening suit, which described the "high closing" waistcoat.
An early to mid-30's German evening suit I posted before, has also a very high closing waistcoat. If it would have been a long-lapel two-button jacket, the effect would be quite similar to the photo.
