Sham Huh?

I got rained on while wearing a fedora the other day. When I came inside the house I pulled out one of those fake chamois that are so popular at Home Shows this time of year. No lint, great absorption and does a nice job on the nap. I cut it up into a couple squares and now make it a point to carry one.

You're talking about those "rubbery" kinds? Because now that you've brought this up, it seems like you could keep a little bit around for a lot of things: shoes, spills in the car, etc...[huh]

Not really rubbery. They almost seem like a cheap felt. I bought mine maybe 6 or 7 years ago and they sat in a closet. The current incarnation is "ShamWow".

I'm German and I agree with this statement...however they also make some junk. You ever hear of Rohm or RG? Shooters know what I mean. And so will modern historians who bother themselves with the details of assassination attempts in the not so distant past.

I saw a little news thing on that ShamWow. Not as awesome as the comercials make it out to be, but still does what a cham cloth should. [huh] I really should have a few around.

I absolutely agree that it doesn't work as well as it does in the commercial that's why it sat in my closet for years but for a wet or rain beaded hat it sure does work great.

I know. I've seen the commercials with the tweak squinting his entire face. But us Germans do make good stuff...most of the time .

It's great that it works on hats. I've been meaning to get one for the car and my Vespa.

Whenever I see the Shamwow guy it makes me think basement meth lab.

Shamwows are probably real good at soaking up those pesky ethylene glycol spills down in the lab.

MBH if you liked Vince in the ShamWow commercial then you'll love his nuts in the chopper one he does now.
If anyone should find themselves with these cloths, after you cut a couple squares out for your hats they really only sop well when they are premoistened and wrung out first. They work for Vince because after all HE IS A PROFESSIONAL.
