Shadowing a Hatter... What do you think?

I'm thinking about shadowing my local hatter, as the title suggests. Well, first I would need his permission, but he seems like a really nice guy. I believe he would like to see his trade continued. Any thoughts on this?

As long as he doesn't take out a restraining order... you should learn a lot.

Ask! The worse thing he can do is say no!

I once asked a hatter about an apprenticeship, but he was a bit dubious about the whole thing. It didn't help that I lived two hours away, either. Other things came up (like getting a job in my own field) that would have interfered, anyway.

Thanks guys. I plan on asking him this week. Of course, I'll keep everyone posted. If I do end up doing it, I may have to quit track, but I can run on my own.

Just don't wear a hockey mask and call him Clarisse, that could be off-putting.
