I agree. Comparing the two side by side I think the M looks better in most photos but all in all I am not a fan of either jacket. They both seem to bunch and bulge in strange places and I know this isn’t your fault Guppy because most of the jackets you post fit quite well.
I thinks that this may just be one of those jackets that doesn’t look particularly good on anyone.

The M. But only over a tee shirt or pullover. Jamming either of them over flannel is not what that kind of jacket is about. Unless you wear it unbuttoned, then it is still the M.

Compared to to the Lee Trevor you’ve got neither one of these can compete. I don’t think Schott had a very firm grasp on this pattern. I’d flip both these and apply the funds elsewhere. Your stable is large and well stocked with beautiful jackets that fit perfectly. These aren’t worthy of that kinship imho.

These Schott jackets are a bit baggy... Which is odd because their suede trucker is perfectly cut. On the slim side with no ballooning anywhere.

Levi's are also trimmer than that. I've had five and they were all okay. The latest one, done in heavy cow fits the best I've seen from them.

And yeah, this is what I'd want my jacket to fit like...
