Payable archives

Unfortunately, newspapers offer searchable archive service with really interesting articles BUT the full content is available against payable membership. NY times trial membership lets you search/view only for the first 5 articles in 30 days altogether or some such. Than it is payable.

I encountered this problem when seeking for Panama hat articles.

Multiple archive search engines like www.highbeam.com direct you to dBases of multiple newpapers but again money talks.

I did intentionally NOT copy paste contents – although articles and pictures are much more fancy - to avoid copyright problems. Especially not from payable databases.

I doubt the sense of forbidding cross reference or linking with pictures – it happened with some pics on the panama hats thread- if someone wants to hide something, simply do not post it on the web.
