Yes, but an important thing to note is that the Jews who participated in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising had a higher rate of survival than those who went along. So, yes, the effects were devastating...the circumstances were devastating...But fighting back was actually safer than not fighting back...and this incident is a very powerful example of that.
