I have a collection of vintage Pendleton 100% Virgin wool western and board shirts from the 1970s. I also have a vintage Pendleton Outdoorsmen jacket, it is basically a Mackinaw Cruiser. And I was wondering if you should hang or fold these garments. I want them to last as long as possible since they are family heirlooms. For the longest time I thought you hung them but I heard recently since they are made of wool you should fold them, the same way you would fold a wool sweater. I reached out to Pendleton but no reply yet.
I’m curious to hear what the experts on vintage clothes on this forum think.
