The website photos are bad, to be honest. Here’s a photo of my sheep, which I bought on Saturday so it’s brand new, not after any break-in period. If that’s not a prominent enough grain for what you want though then I’d agree they’re not going to be the right brand for you as the other leathers are smooth when new (although they’ll still develop a more prominent grain as you wear them, even my horse Lightning has really nice grain on the arms now)

That’s actually quite nice, their cowhide has same level of grain? Their photos show smooth shiny leather, big misleading depending who is after which type.

Yeah the website is bad, it lets you select different animal leathers and colours but the product images don’t update to show you. If you’re able to get to the shop they have all the different types there.

I haven’t looked too much at their cowhide, as I’ve got this sheep and my other is horse. It might be shinier at purchase but the grain appears quickly as the leather is broken in

You choose sheepskin for age/patina and out of the box comfort?

I already knew I wanted sheepskin as I wanted a soft leather, but yes while I was looking at the jackets I really liked the way it already looked broken in. That wasn’t just the grain but also how the light hits it. The leather isn’t smooth and shiny so it looks a bit older I think.
