Great pic, Dinerman!

I visited Bozeman once, about 20 years ago, and really liked the town. It's not big, but the views around it are. And the people were really friendly, even though I was there on a cold, snowy day.

Protecto - The Rancher. Looks like it was probably made by the same company as made the "Carlsbad" that I posted in this thread back in 2011.

Keith Bros & Co. Tiger Special

Purchased for the sweatband imprint, but once I removed 100 years of dust, the hat turned out quite nice too. From the early 20th century (a concern with the name of N. L. Wann in Fairbury, Illinois closed in 1916) - a lightweight (3.9 oz) western of modest dimensions and good quality. The felt is very good - on a par with Stetson hats from this period. <Edit> for correction by Dinerman... manufacturer was likely Keith Bros & Company. See this thread.

5 1/2" crown, 3 1/2" brim pencil curled to 3". Found via Dinerman's sharp eyes.
