I have only ordered once from him. Was quoted 60 days. Was 7+ months in the end.

This is what I did (mine was delivered at roughly 7+ months). Though I got the impression that every answer I received was written by another person every time, with a different excuse

How did you phrase your monthly emails? Just the same general check-in? Did you keep your tone positive and prevent impatience from coming through?

I guess I’m not sure how to keep checking in without sounding annoying.

I didn’t think to ask about a timeline when I ordered this one, which is my mistake.

Only other order directly from him (not thurston bros) was a reasonable timeline, though I can’t remember the specifics. That was in 2021 though.

I can speak greek so that helped being to the point without becoming annoying.
If I were you I would contact him though, spring has passed! And keep in mind that August, especially the second half, most of the Greek business are closed for summer.

Start learning Greek now and you'll as till get your jacket sooner than if you didn't.

Yes, I’ve been thinking about the August break and hoping to get the jacket before this.
I just reached out again. I have been kind and patient in my communications, and mostly in reality as well. I have other jackets and don’t mind waiting for a custom piece — though seeing others get theirs before mine when they ordered more recently feels a bit discouraging.

I know there are many variables that I might not be aware of… perhaps he didn’t have the leather I requested on hand and needed to order more; or maybe my pattern adjustments require more time… Trying to assume positive intent and give him the benefit of the doubt. No hard feelings at this point.

To add to the discussion of delivery time

I was quoted 60 days to complete after payment as well.

I initially followed up asking if additional information is needed from me for the completion, and after that, every follow up message is just enthusiasm about the jacket and asking if there's any updates. Kept the messages short and simple English.

Around May 3rd Theodoros replied that the pattern test was completed and jacket was in product. Said it would take 15-20 days, but I didn't get a final shipping email until June 3rd

I ordered my third custom Thedi jacket last November - and a few days ago I received an email from Theodoros clarifying a few items re my jacket and citing some major issues he's been having as reasons for being late. He did not go into details and I did not ask. He said that he plans to ship my new jacket in a week or two. This time of year I'm not in a big hurry.

Black. Always a classic colour . Black badalassi looks great. Cognac is probably less versatile / classic. Russet brown could be an interesting alternative.

I would go with cognac because it’s more unique. You can get black tea core just about anywhere so why not get something really special from the master. Then again, I also understand the argument that it may be worn more if it’s black. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.
