Carrie knows her stuff about sizing. My first Aero jacket that I custom ordered directly from Aero felt a bit tight on my shoulders. I contacted Ked Calder (owner) about it and he asked me to wear it awhile. If it still seemed tight ..he would take it back and make me another jacket. After a few weeks it became comfortable without need for a return.

The fit jackets that Carrie has sent me have all helped acquire a good fit in the final jacket thanks to her advice.

I have several jackets with a cotton drill lining that is good for spring & fall...then I wear a insulated vest under the jacket in winter......

I don't think I can give you a huge amount of advice as my first Thedi is currently being made up. I ordered at the end of April. I ordered a fit jacket from Thurston Bros. It was tight in the chest and shoulders. When i sent back the pics, Carrie said it looked like a good tight fit, but also said that the buffalo would be stiffer and less forgiving than the goat suede fit jacket. I knew adding to the shoulders and chest was necessary. I have a few (non-leather) jackets that fit perfectly - including tailored jackets. They all have 18.5" shoulders so I asked to match that measurement. I plussed up the chest too. Both measurements I asked for between the M and L sizes and kept the medium measurements for waist size and length, also shortening the arms an inch. If they hit those targets I am pretty comfortable it will be a great fit. I'm hoping trusting my instincts on this works. It sounds like you want to do the same.

I thought about wool liner, but I went with cotton drill. I want it too be a 3 season jacket. I'm in the DC area, so it doesn't get quite as cold as New England, but I think wool would be too hot in the early spring and fall.

I get that. I’m in Gaithersburg so we know how the weather changes a lot from week to week. I don’t want to get a jacket that I only wear once in a while.

My first THEDI. cocoa Buffalo. I noticed the armholes are ALOT higher and more snug than ANY of my 4 Aeros and 1 LOSTWORLDS. I also have noticed besides the snug high armholes that my THEDI Is a much more comfortable everyday wareable jacket than my others. I will have to have the sleeves shortened about an inch or so but that is a simple relatively cheap fix. The style of THEDI is a XXXL MEMPHIS Which was purchased from THURSTON for $1399.00 which for the comfort alone is worth it. I also think this particular THEDI style is meant to be a looser but still a flattering fit jacket not like some of their more skin tight fitting styles. here are just a few very quick off the cuff pictures I just took. Let me know what you guys think as far as fit and how nice the jacket looks. F619B5ED-9F88-4654-B5EB-3666202621A0.jpeg

I think you did well! A great looking jacket and nice fit. I agree, leave the sleeves alone for the first year. If you think they are a bit long, use the HWT and push them up while they cool and dry. This might shorten them by 1/2-3/4 inch. I personally don’t think you need it.

Thanks bud. I hope the THEDI can withstand some rain. I usual would wear my LOSTWORLDS horse hides or AERO CXFQHH when there is inclimate weather but would LOVE TO WARE my THEDI and not have to worry about inclimate weather. The jacket is just so much more comfortable than what I am used to wearing

I am 100% with Adam K on the shortening point. Given how much the sleeves are creasing, I think they would strongly profit from a at least one inch of shortening. Then again, I don´t like my sleeves being too AT ALL. To me, the optimal sleeve ends at the knuckle of my wrist.

Thats an awsome jacket Marc ! Perfect fit too.
What were you thinking when you said "I'll take it in black"?o_O Your girfriend and Thedi were spot on. The colour is amazing , I never really gave this style a second look, but your pics make me want to order my next jacket on this canvas/leather style. The more i go over the details ......i am converting.

Marc , just a quick question? I am trying to figure out what is the colour combo of your jacket? I am presuming the canvas is a olive green type colour , could you enlighten me on the closest description of the leather colour, as it looks different in some of your pics? Is it the same colour as Theodoros is wearing on his website?

This wasn't my first choice for a Thedi either, but the style has grown on me. I owned this RRL cossack which is a similar style, but that jacket felt flimsy, which was the main reason I've sold it. Still I really liked the idea of a cossack style jacket without the shawl collar that usually comes with it.

Capturing the true color with my iPhone cam is pretty much impossible, but you might get a good impression when shown next to some other browns.

The canvas is dark olive. It has more brown tones than the canvas that was used for this 'hunter' jacket.

The leather is a dark brown. Next to Aero's seal Vicenza, you can see that the Vicenza has more red undertones.

It's indeed this particular jacket that's shown on their website. I think the colors on their website are somewhat over saturated.

I am really enjoying looking at these pics of your jacket details / colours. I think i am liking it better than your bruciato cross zip you bought . This combo of canvas and leather i think is what
intrigues me, just makes a jacket a bit more unique.
Yes, i also think some of the pics on his website ar oversaturated .Thanks heaps for the comparison pics Marc, helps me down the line in making my decision on the next Thedi i order, i said i would definately stop at 2:eek: (still waiting for Theodoros to start on my order).
