My new old Penneys 3X Marathon!

This is the lid I won on eBay last Sunday and it was in a nice USPS box on my front stoop when I got home from work today! Nice! I will probably change the ribbon and bow on it but I will leave the Wind Trolley. The ribbon is a bit loose and there are a couple of minor moth nibbles on the crown. Other than that, the hat is wonderful!

Color: Light Gray

Ribbon: Black grosgrain

Brim: 2-3/8”

Width: 11”

Length: 12-1/2”

Height: 4-3/4”

Interior Circumference: 21"


I have now given it a Diamond Crease or "The Mario" and a little brushin'.

It used to belong to somebody with the initials "JP" apparently.

Here's my silly mug defacing it! Hmm. Whenever I take a pic of myself it turns Sepia. Weird.[huh]

Like I said, I will probably replace the ribbon and bow with a medium width on both this weekend. I will post the updated pic when done.

Thanks Ernest! The ribbon needs replacing as it is a little worn near the edges of the bow and is showing the beginnings of fraying a bit. No worries! I can fix it.

Glad you like "The Mario". That's my favorite crease. Very sharp looking I think.

So glad that you like it, it really is a nice hat. You probably noticed that the feathers were an afterthought stuck on the side of the box in an envelope lol. I did that after saw that you do indeed wear them lol

Huh. Ribbon looks good and the bow is unique. But I guess
there must be a lot of damage not visible in the pictures. Nice hat.

Don't Panic! I was able to save both the ribbon and bow and snug it up nicely. All is saved and looking perfect. I didn't have to replace any of it except a little black thread.
