Post New Hats Here!

[Randall Renshaw]

That is one formidable hat, Randall. Well done

Fantastic work, Randall. What a glorious old hat!

I’m glad to see that you’ve been posting more lately: we were lessened in your absence.

Cool hat and great work, Randall.

Looks like a keeper, Randall..

Thanks a lot guys!
Formidable keeper for sure, and I’m happy to own one of two known to exist.
Mike says he’ll be shipping his Emko for a stretch to his size and I hope it goes as well as this’n did.

And thanks, Brent, for the extra comment.
It’s great hangin out with other hat junky inmates runnin this asylum!

Emko fedora, which seems to be Nutria or Nutria blend and also seems pre 1930 at least. Brim is 3 1/2 after roll, open crown is 6 inches. In the logo, words at top read "Extra Quality"", tiny word at bottom center is "Trademark". Hat is just as it arrived today. Is there a better thread to post this hat?

I think we have a pre-1940 Western thread.

Or you and Randy can start an Emko thread.

Thanks for the heads-up. Couldn't recall the exact name of that thread.

Don’t think he and I haven’t talked about that.
Came to the conclusion that it may end up taking too much space from the WHAYWT thread.

[deadlyhandsome]

Late ‘50s or early ‘60s Stetson 3X Beaver Quality. Not in perfect shape, but a very appealing hat.

Crosby and Company. More in the bowler thread.

Nice one, Randy!
Makes me think Henry Ford must’ve also decided the color of 99% of all bowlers.

True. I suppose it goes with the saying, "It's what's on the inside that counts".

Or maybe I just don't like change!

Thanks, Randall.

[mayserwegener]

J. Heinr. Ita Wien "Super" "Extra Qualität", 55 cm possibly late 1950s. Very nice pliable black Felt that easily dry creases. High quality components and workmanship. The overall condition is NOS. J. Heinr. Ita Wien were well known high quality Vienna made hats but they more difficult to find. This one was a seller size mistake.

Open Crown

Three hats from the same auction lot.

Circa 1960 Dobbs Fifteen two-tone heather.

Similar era Stetson *** Club.

Later 1960s (?) Dobbs Turf in Slate color.

Late 1950s Royal De Luxe Stetson St. Regis. Sadly this one does not fit. Needs some steam and a bit of cleaning.

^^^^^ Apparently this was on some bug's flight path.
