Thanks for that, Stefan. Wish it lead us to a link to the maker. Whoever made it knew what they were doing. It's a beautiful bowler, Steve, and a great find. I think it's Pascal&cie: notice that the C is the same in both Pascal and Cie.

Gorgeous hat, David. Could you perhaps take another pic of the label, more straight on? Might be that both the colour and model name are ones we haven't seen before.

That's not a bad hat, but it looks as "official" to **** Tracy as Dorfman Pacific's Indiana Jones hats look to that franchise.
That is one nice WhippetI bought this Whippet a few months ago. It was cheap because it was trashed -- dirty, sweatband in tatters, halfway stretched from a 7 to a 7 1/8, ribbon stained and faded, binding stained and greasy looking.
I sent it to @bond and just got it back. Can not believe how good it looks. Gas bath, new sweat, new ribbon -- it almost looks like a new hat and it is going to get tons of head time. Thank you, sir!

Thanks, David. The good news and the bad news are the same in this case: it's a Gorasgu in Sfinge colour. Not a new colour or model, but, man, it's a Gorasgu in Sfinge! How cool is that?!I heightened the contrast.

David, the Borso looks great on you! Really glad you like it.

I wouldn't perhaps call those waves ridiculous, David. They're definitely not usual, nor what is "normal", but they are quite interesting to look at. Go with the flow, I'd say. Here’s a heartbreaker. NOS Champ ******* clone in a beautiful green/gray featherweight felt. Very cool details. Picked it up for cheap and it arrived today. As I took it out of the box I thought to myself—I can’t believe how perfect this hat is. How is this possible? It’s never been worn.
Well—mystery explained. The tension of forming to a human head puts these ridiculous waves on either side of the brim.
Is there a solution to this problem? Would reblocking and flanging offer hope? Seems unlikely unless the block was my head.
If not—anyone here wear a 7 1/8 wide oval and want to give it a shot?
David

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I wouldn't perhaps call those waves ridiculous, David. I think they are pretty interesting as well. How does it look brim up?
I kinda like it with that look. It’s different but not too much - if that makes sense? Here’s a heartbreaker. NOS Champ ******* clone in a beautiful green/gray featherweight felt. Very cool details. Yup, I've got a few hats that do exactly the same thing (and not the least of them) and it's heartbreaking because it just looks off. The hats just don't get worn because of it. The hat needs to get reblocked and reflanged to remedy the problem. Here’s a heartbreaker. NOS Champ ******* clone in a beautiful green/gray featherweight felt. Very cool details.
