Cervo Gold Bantam "Piuma", 59cm possibly later 1950s. This NOS find is from Daniele and my latest visit to the M. Hutter find in Merano, Italy. The detail work is really fantastic and the felt is very light weight with side vents.

It is a unique piece, Steve and it shows the skills of the Cervo makers very well. So many special style details. A rare find.

This came in today. Not looking the way it does now; had to take care of a very generous amount of dust first. It will be going back to its roots.
Borsalino Export Qualität Gran Lusso lobbia (or homburg if you will). Gulaela model in size 60 with the brim a little over 6cm and the crown a commanding 12cm in front (it looked at me like it did not want to be pinched). Nice touch is the : "gegenüber dem ratskeller" on the sweat and liner; like the hat wearer wouldn't know where the hatshop was.

Wow Steve! This one is both unusual and cool at the same time. The detail work is superb. What a hat!

Borsalino 100% Beaver. Modern Borsalinos get a bad wrap however I love the felt and profile on this one. I bought the exact same model 6 years ago at JJ Hat Center but with a slightly shorter brim.

My new suede Imperial Stetson from finevintage fedoras. Excelent, fine felt. This one is 7 1/4, but fit well after a day on one of my custom band blocks.

Nice, Max! That suede finish looks to be halfway to velour. Looks very soft too.

Very nice additions, Tonio. The bowler is worth it for the liner alone. Still need to add a borsalino beaver to the collection.

Picked up another current issue excellent quality Stetson, the “Nobel”. Color is called true blue which is a shade lighter than their navy. The hat is pretty well made. The beaver felt is pliable, but sturdy and is consistent with other beaver hats in its price point. The hat has a 2 1/2” bound edge brim with a 4 1/4” blocked crown. I think I like this one and will certainly place it into the rotation.
It’s hard to truly appreciate the color with these photos. I’ll try to get some outdoor pics in the future.
