So is the look. Nice one!View attachment 76493
Just received a Steele & Jones INDY.Too warm for today but the fit is good.
I have several Westerns with Cattleman creases & they look just fine but they all have >3" brims. I never cared for how I look in an OR with a Cattleman crease & I always thought it was because the brim was too narrow for me. Wearing this OR around the house this morning I'm coming to the conclusion it's the turned up brim & not the width that I don't like on me. I just don't look as good as you & some others do with a turned up brim. I tend to like all my brims pretty flat & level in front; not turned up or snapped down.Perfection!
Folks might not get the impression from the stingy brims I normally prefer to wear, but a cattleman creased Open Road, in my mind, is about the coolest thing ever.

Turn up the brim, turn up the Bob Wills on the stereo, and turn up a few cold ones. You might find it suits you more than you think.I have several Westerns with Cattleman creases & they look just fine but they all have >3" brims. This hat may end up with a diamond but I'm in no hurry.
Two really great hats. Ribbons on both are special. It would be interesting to research the Colonel. Maybe a WWI vet (Retired).New Penney's Marathon I believe the liner puts it around '40 - '45
