Well, the three month wait for my new Akubra Hampton in cruiser gray (which was closer to a 2 1/2 month wait) is finally over. It showed up yesterday. It looks really nice and will be a fine addition to my collection.

Looks great on you. Brim and crown are just right for your facial structure.

Sorry for the ****py pics. Been too busy to crease the hat -- probably this weekend. I threw a quick dry bash on it and it appears it will shape easily. I think I'm going to like this hat!

My weakness for Akubras is well known here. First someone else posted the prices are going up, then you show all these great pics and all I can think is "moonstone, I don't have moonstone!"

This is the second batch of Italian hats to show.
I found an interesting source from a closed shop near Verona.
They had an average quality hats and I try to have the best I can

First is another Italian historical brand: Barbisio with a recent production 2008 made by Cappellificio Cervo

Astounding heather felt with contrasting ribbon

Second is branded Anderson that despite the name is an Italian producer

Elegant hat made in green fur felt

A full description soon in the appropriate threads

More to come with some weird Borsalino fu Lazzaro, Barbisio and others
