Richard - yours appear to be similar to mine in terms of quality and the material of the sweats - and the same prices too. Great hats to use when raking, mowing the grass, etc. Not high quality, but as you say, passable.
Nice color on the first one, too.
Hello Loungers, I picked up this 1940's Stetson Whippet from my local Hatter today. I had it stretched from a 7 to a 7 1/4 and he did a remarkable job. I found this hat at a flea market crumpled up on a blanket...I knew I had to save it. For $15 this has turned out to be one of my best looking Stetsons.
Ah, good advice! I didn't, but Tuesday being my day off, I might play around with it again.Aaron, I presume you'll wear it until it is dry? It will conform best that way (and may yet shrink a bit if you don't).
This one arrived in the mail this morning. Appears to have not been worn before. Amazingly clean for a 60 year old hat. I won this as an ebay auction, but I wouldn't be surprised if the owner is a Lounge member. I'm happy.
That's a beauty!
