Not exactly new, but new enough. :)

This is the second hat I asked @HatsBySam to restore for me. The sweatband needed to be replaced and while we were at it I asked him to bump it up to my size - among other things - Sam can share if he feels so inclined. I love it. I love the new shape as well. Thanks, Sam!

Barbisio 'Medusa' in a dark blue color. In mint condition, with a windcord. Very nice hat.

2 Carlton hats came in. First one in naturel color. Very thin lightweighted felt. Don't know much about Carlton hats actually. This on are both made in France and something said it's made by Mossant, but i could be wrong. Very nice hats.

Second in a dark brown (Auburn)color. Also very thin and lightweighted. Quality: Bantam???
Marcel, I own a few Carlton hats, bought new about ten years ago in Strasbourg—one of the best and most fantastic finds of my collecting life.
They were likely made in France by Jean Bourrel, though attributing French hats can be tricky; many contract manufacturers worked for major brands like Sools, which never actually produced hats in-house.
"Bantam" is a trademark registered in the late 1930s by the Cervo hat factory. I couldn't tell you exactly what "Bantam" refers to; the hats worn by the Italian Alpine Corps are called Bantams, as are certain hats made by Cervo. The ones I own are high-quality pieces, dating back to the 1950s or 60s.
Stetson also registered a Bantam trademark, though I have no concrete information about it.
Two fine hats.

For everyone interested in "Bantam Italian side, here the explication:
Bantam (brand)
"Bantam" is a trademark registered by Cappellificio Cervo. The name derives from the boxing weight class—specifically the "bantamweight" division—implying a lightweight physique. The Cervo hat was indeed lightweight. As previously mentioned, advertisements demonstrated that it could be folded and stowed in a pocket without damage. The "Bantam" trademark was filed on March 1, 1933, coinciding with the release of the aforementioned "Manifesto." A coincidence? Highly likely. It is hard to believe that a product and brand were invented in Sagliano in a matter of hours. However, it is possible that the Futurists' initiative accelerated the process and, above all, that Cervo's management seized the opportunity to link their new product to the national buzz surrounding the movement. Furthermore, the phrase "special creation"—prominently featured in the trademark registration itself—is decidedly "suspicious"; it smacks of a moving train being boarded on the fly... A move that would do credit to the company, which subsequently turned the "Bantam" into one of its signature products (excerpted from *Futurista per un folgorante istante, il cappello biellese* by Danilo Craveia, published in *Eco di Biella* on November 26, 2018).

Two super Carlton finds, Marcel. They don't often pop-up for sale so always worth buying no matter the size.

As you noted, I have one myself. Excellent quality.
