It's good to see a nice single ply ribbon from time to time. Not a lot of modern hatters willing to go in that direction.

Another Byer-Rolnick Resistol San Antonio but I think a lower grade than what @StoryPNW has above. It has “Melorol” on the sweat but no other indications of quality except the $15 tag. The felt is a bit stiff and will require steam to reshape. 2 5/8” brim and 5 1/2” open crown. A few creasing marks remain from the previous OR shape.

Long time no new hat posted, because there was always little time:
So this one is already longer in my possession

Wegener "Extra" in a wonderful dark blue (sorry for the bad photos)
size 58; bound brim at 5.5 cm; crown at the center dent at 10.5 cm
The medium weight felt is of great quality and wonderfully soft;
the synthetic lining has a blue contrasting piping;
only the sweat is of really inferior quality, composed of 2 pieces,
poorly glued together & sewn in and also already very brittle.
I think it is a early post war period hat - late 40's or very early 50's
and a look at Steve's homepage would confirm my suspicion,
because this gray Wegener "Extra" seems to be quite similar:

Milan I picked up a bit ago. Had no evidence of being worn but had a lot of rust colored staining, some of which is still evident. I spent three days putting the hat through a process that removed 3 or 4 times the amount of staining you see here. I could have continued but but I was happy with the look and wasn’t interested in lightening the straw color.

Good work, Greg. I really like the patina.

Arrived this week. Herbert Johnson bowler in brown. Size 56 (instead of the advertised size 57) with the bound brim at just under 5cm and the crown at 11,5cm. It's a bowler of modest proportions. The felt is very thin with a nice hand and the hat is remarkably lightweight at only 103 grams. The finishing is excellent overall. The style is called Amylyie Smooth Lingfield, which is a mouthful.
Herbert Johnson hats don't show up much and usually at inflated prices. As it mentions her majesty the queen it is post 1952, but likely not by much.

Excellent find, Stefan. Classic 50s proportions for a British Bowler. Nice and tight.

Congrats!

And now for something completely different.
Woolfelt bicorn hat with plume. Not something you see every day. Size 57 and that's about all I can say about it except that it's not the real deal, but a replica. No branding or labels of any kind. A replica of decent quality, but a replica nonetheless. Headshot to follow :)
