J. Hückel's Söhne "Prima" for the French market:
this hat was sold by "Chapeau Raoul" in Nevers
Label says "A V" so "Alpha Velour", as Steve indicated
French Point 6 1/2 (fits perfectly), possibly (late) 1920s (?)
brim at 6.3 cm, crown at the dent at impressive 12.5 cm
5.5 cm crown ribbon with a very nice bow treatment
The "ventilation system" at the front is unusual -
I usually only know this from Borsalino hats...
Nice condition except some stains on the lining
A hat of standing, Matt. It shows its presence in all the pics. Congrats.
Another great find, Matt. I wonder if the perforations in the sweatband once held a sizing cord.
This hat speaks to me. Just something special about it that is immediately apparent.
Matt, Stefan, I think they are ventilation related. P. & C. Habig Wien had something similar in the time period. So far I haven't thought about it, but that could be possible.
I'm just surprised that the perforations are in two rows:
Have you already seen something like that?

P. & C. Habig Wien Silk Top Hat with "Patent Ventilator" . Not sure if it worked.
Matt, I have no idea how it works because there is no exterior vent. Also would cut down slightly on Sweatband weight.Whether this has really brought "fresh air" I dare to doubt,
but the patant imprints are indeed a good explanation.
What I can say and what you have already noticed:
The sweat is very thin and soft!
Looks nice MarcelBorsalino qualitá Victoria came in today. A great hat in a very good condition. Thick felt. Unfortunally the brimwidth is about 5,5 cm, i was hoping for 6 cm or more. I didn't ask the seller about it, so it's my own fault. Nevertheless i'm satisfied with it, it looks like it is never worn before.

Thanks, yes a littlebit smaller proportions that i expected, but i think it suits very well. Now my Hatjack stretcher is doing his jobLooks nice Marcel
If you were intentionally looking for a hat with more "conservative" proportions for yourself, I don't think you could have done a better job. The hat looks like it's in very good condition, and I agree it suits you. Thanks, yes a littlebit smaller proportions that i expected, but i think it suits very well. Great hat and also a great colour. Here’s one I haven’t seen before. It’s a nice Stetson The Sovereign Twenty suede finish in an ice blue color that I love. The felt it soft and easily dry creases. The open crown is approximately 5 1/2 inches and the brim is 2 5/8 inches. It has a braided self-felt band that I haven’t seen on a Twenty before. It also has a new-to-me brim edge treatment. It isn’t the expected felted (Cavanagh/Mode) edge: the edge is capped in a matching piece of felt which gives it an overwelt and underwelt look. The seam of the cap is at the back of the hat and not overly obvious. If anyone has information on this hat I’d enjoy learning.

Wow! What a beauty, so much to like about this hat, but ribbon/bow treatment is really special.Mayser "Libelle", 58 cm, possibly later 1950s. The Felt has a great color / finish and easily dry creases. Also a really interesting Bow and Brim treatment. This is my second "Libelle" so not a common Mark.
Unique "Echter Mayser" Celluloid Label attached to the Sweatband. I have never seen one of these before so a very pleasant surprise.
