Post New Hats Here!

[Hagwood]

In these corona crisis times, it was great to receive some happy news from my good friend in the great state of Georgia.

Randall, thank you for the deal: a Stetson OR, an Adam's, a Mallory, and a Resistol along with your wonderful refurbs and bow artistry, and special thanks for the banjo pin.

My is off to you, sir. View attachment 220582 View attachment 220583 View attachment 220584

Randall tipped me off to this one on ebay thinking it would make a nice conversion. The pictures didn't do it justice however, and I don't think I want to mess with it now. Absolutely pristine and new looking Cavanagh Homburg with the 'John Cavanagh' liner putting it between 1936 and 1951 and with the tag indicating 40's. Just perfect condition and the liner is bright white compared to a little bit newer Cavanagh I have that has yellowed. Wonderful felt. I got it out of the freezer last night and did a few different bashes after steaming and brushing.

No outside pics since it won't stop raining around here.

Absolutely pristine and new looking Cavanagh Homburg

Looks great on you Tim!

[Redfokker]

Got this a few weeks ago in a hat exchange with Mike @Redfokker (miss you over here, buddy).
Gimbel homburg in blue. Size 56 with the brim at 5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Unreeded sweatband and a gloriously coloured liner (it's what sold it to me). There might be some wool content in the felt and it has that nice old-time feel. In great shape with just some loose stitches on the sweat.

Looks like you just drove it off the showroom floor, Greg.

After a hard day of sitting around in sweats getting intimate with a laptop, I put on this Dalton to get some fresh air.

And sunovagun, it turns out there's beer in the fridge!

Lovely hat. Everyone needs a few homburgs in their rotation. I think the pinches help to make it more approachable when it’s worn with casual attire. For what little it’s worth, I hope you don’t convert it into a fedora.
