Mayser Padua Garda. Very hard to name this colour, so Padua Garda it is (I could always go for "taupe"). Size 60 with the raw edge brim at 7cm and the crown 10cm at the center dent. Same age as the "city fanal" judging by the label. European hats usually have narrower brims than American made ones, but this one has some more width to it, which is the reason I brought it with me.

Beautiful hat! I see it has had a sweat replacement and Strongly likely a liner as well. This hat is I am sure not a Standard Quality, though of the era..... Stetsons "Standard Quality" was their low level (for them....sold gennerally for $7.50 with a price reduction to $5 in the early 30's). The quality and finish of that hat should have been at least a "Select Quality" if not higher.....
Yes......a very nice hat!;)

Telescopic shape and back bow. This kind of hats were called "Mambo" in Italy
Barbisio Silice 1 (2) R.jpg

This arrived, quite new, with some brothers that now lives in the Netherlands
Barbisio Silice interno.jpg

The felt has a very nice touch. The dimensions are: raw brim at 6 cm. and low crown at 10 cm. the ribbon is 4 cm.
Barbisio Silice 5 R.jpg

This is one of my favourite shade of grey made by Barbisio in the its heyday of production and the finishes are first class

So, for lovers of Barbisio and Italian hats, here is a rare specimen, even if the most spectacular one in this category lives in Stefan's house
