Hi Folks

I truly enjoy seeing all the great belt backs on this thread.. I hope I could add some for your viewing pleasure..

I believe the gray tweed is 30/40-? and I believe the others are 60/70..

The belt backs are getting harder and harder to find at a reasonable price..

Anyway I look forward to your comments and opinions..

Thank you and best regards.

CCJ

If anyone could assist in dating my belt backs.
TIA
Best regards.

Scotts Gray Ltd. Probably late '70s-early '80s. Made in Yugoslavia.
Flecked Corduroy, high buttoning, pleated pockets, double patch pockets, pleated belted back

I picked up this 70s (?) bold herringbone belt-back jacket in a local charity shop a few days ago. It's not my favourite style and I wouldn't normally pick up a wool/poly-blend (80% wool and 20% polyester), but it's in perfect condition and only cost 50 SEK (~£3.8) so what the heck... It will fit perfect after some small adjustments.

I will probably replace the buttons and remove the elbow patches.

Thanks. Yeah, I couldn't really pass it up. I first saw the front and with those pockets I just knew that it must have a belt-back.

Interestingly it was placed among the women's jackets; in fact it was the only male jacket in the entire shop. I might go back some day and ask if the have some other male stuff not on display.

A while ago I saw another 70s belt-back in another local shop. It's a larger size (maybe 40-42" chest) and that's why I didn't buy it. If anyones interested I might go back and see if it's still there.
