One of my favorite "real" small pocket knives. The sharp Worldwide 2.0. A tank of a slipjoint.

Always close it with respect, otherwise... ;)

i’ve gone through a lot of newer style/material knives in the last 25 years. I just happened to walk into an old time general store and they had a Buck display. The classic lock backs remind me of my dad going to work in the 70s and 80s. I bought the 112 on the dpot. I was not in the market.

Ah, it's Buck Ranger 112, now I got it! :) Not a CALL 112 firefighters knife. ;)

I've had my eye on the lower price version with the plastic handles, pocket clip, and thumb stud. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should buy it, or a similar Victorinox. Of course, I don't "need" either of them. I can probably live the rest of my life without buying another knife.

I really do not need another Victorinox, since I already have an older version. Mine didn't come with a pocket clip. And it's an older version which had a serrated blade. Odd design where the front 2/3 of the blade is serrated to the tip, with a single bevel straight edge on the back 1/3. Single beveled on the right side like a Japanese sushi knife. I don't carry it much because it didn't come with a pocket clip or sheath. It's literally a pocket knife. Original equipment toothpick and tweezer are still intact.
