My ex boss is a would be wood worker and always looking for projects. So I asked him to make me a 'belly board' like this. It works really well and I use it a lot. This winter when he is bored and looking for something to do I will get him to make me one with a more radical drop. This one recently sold for $750 at auction. Some issues.
If you're a tinkerer these are great projects to sink your teeth into. Quite a few of them are in poor shape and they're more fragile than you'd think.
