Those are they. I have not seen the lapels so big and thought that made them worth posting.

There have been some interesting shawl collars as well...

tag on an old tie by Beau Brummell made of the Palm Beach Cloth. Confirming that the cloth was 46% cotton, 40% wool and 14% rayon.

Were the shawl collars ever worn as suits?

Yes. I just saw an Igmar Bergman film from 1953, called Sommeren med Monika ("Summer with Monika"). Takes place somewhere in Sweden. Actor Lars Ekborg (as "Harry Lund") wears a 6-button double breasted suit with a shawl collar. Not a tuxedo or smoking jacket: a suit jacket.

Hi Lucky, I to love palm beach and have a collection. Always looking to buy or trade. I do have about 30 ties. As soon as I get a good camera, I will post some pics. Would like to see your pictures. Jimiez

IIRC, the Mo is now off the endangered species list; came off together with Vicuna. BTW, they seemed very friendly so it wouldn't surprise me if we see some little Mocunas in the not too distant future.:)

You've had different experiences with mos, than I. The last one I encountered was anything BUT friendly! He poked me in the eyes with his fingers and threatened to MOIDUH me. And all just because I laughed at his goofy haircut!
