Great commercial! Funny thing about Breitling watches, every military aviator I know that has one never wears it in the cockpit. They only wear them for “special” occasions. They cost way too much for everyday use around aircraft. If I could afford a P-51 like the guy in the commercial, I wouldn’t be worried about the cost of a watch.

Flying around in a Mustang all day to meet beautiful women who ride motorcycles, where do I sign up?!

He's wearing the chronomat because he's afraid of getting a scratch on his Patek Philippe. :p

I think Breitling is a bit too garish for my taste. If I could afford a high end watch like that I'd prefer an Omega Speedmaster. For around $300-500 you could get a Navitimer homage watch with the Russian 3133 movement which, in of itself, is becoming collectible because they stopped producing the 3133 movement in 2011.

Funny commercial. The image associated with Breitling is cool, but I agree-they are much too expensive to be worn so casually in aircraft. I've always preferred a nice Casio dive watch for my everyday wear.

This is where I'm suppose to say, watch, what watch, there was a watch in this commercial?

Given the phoney A-2, I have little hope for this fellow - that and leaving the girl. My brother and friends that fly do love their Breitling watches, but they're too busy for me. I prefer the simplicity of Fortis and Sinn watches, not to mention Bell & Ross.

Dang it Butte you beat me to it. You'd THINK they'd spring for an authentic A2 or at least one in ball park. But then again, the commercial was probably NOT meant for rivet heads like us.

Hey, that's me!

My name is Jill and I ride a Triumph motorcycle. However I would not have been late, because I also wear a 1961 Breitling Navitimer watch. (How come this never happens to me? Where's that P-51 when you need it?)

Can't speak to Breitling and I have never flown a P-51, though I have sat in a few! But I have owned more Triumph's then any other make hands down, I have three right now. It will always be cool to ride a Triumph!

There is always one of these, at a lower price than a 'rep' and from an established and dependable manufacturer:
