Options for buying leather pants besides Vanson?

I was looking for some advice on getting a pair of leather pants. I previously bought a pair from Vanson, but they were really constricting and heavy and I really just didn't like them. I understand Vanson is considered a good brand so I'm not knocking them, but I'd like to know if anyone can recommend any other companies that have some good quality leather pants. Are there any other brands anyone can suggest besides Vanson?

Y2 makes leather pants. Try the shopvancouver. Also lost worlds. I like the cut of my vanson but they really are too heavy for off the bike

It might be that the Vanson pants you have are just too "heavy of a weight" for your liking. It's possible, esp. if they're older that they could be horsehide - in which case I will buy them asap/yesterday. Anyhow, check around and you may find a near equivalent in a lighter weight. If you're buying brand new, wear it/them around the house a lot, etc. Whatever you buy new should be tight when it's new. Nobody ever says this, but baggy gear absolutely isn't safe.

Funny how this thread was bumped up right after I impulsively bought a pair of Vanson leather pants from JP. Likely a very bad idea as I don't ride. But I wanted to finally try a pair of top quality leather pants, it was cheap at ~50$ and the leather / grain looked gorgeous. Hopefully it's at least my size, despite being a pointless purchase haha.

You absolutely scored. Those pants have seamless, front and back panels. This, in and of itself is typically an indication of very high quality. They're hemmed and have a great natural looking shine. I'm sure you could sell them for triple what you paid. Wear them with thermals on brisk days, & "UnderArmor" heat gear ( or equivalent) when it's warmer; & you'll have a stylish, sexy & practical addition to your wardrobe! (Take it from someone who knows, lol.) Congratulations!

Thanks for the info and positive assessment :)
Now actually wearing black leather pants in public will be a personal challenge for me. And that's coming from someone who regularly wears a cowboy hat in Estonia :D

I've got both Vanson pants and Fox Creek pants and really prefer the Fox Creek over the Vanson because the Vanson's are really high waisted. But in all fairness the Fox Creek are over pants and the Vanson's are not so I don't know if that would make a difference or not.
