From 1989. This one is a far cry from those great vintage ads. To make matters worse, the picture is a stock promotional image from the Last Crusade film which means the hat shown is most likely a Herbert Johnson and not a Stetson at all. :eusa_doh:

Here's a 1941 Stetson ad. This one is interesting in that it notes the distinction between a Homburg and its cousin -- which, although related to the Homburg in style, features the slightly less formal "off the face" brim. Also of interest is the fact that "taper" is touted as a distinctive style aspect...
