It doesn't always work 100% with pages coded specifically for Internet Exploiter, but I get by.

You've hit on something that really gets my goat. The internet is all about accessibility. Code to internet standards that include everyone, not to suck up to Microsoft!

Like the pages that still say "best viewed with Internet Explorer." Like I'm going to take time to go and switch and come back?

I use both IE and Firefox all day long. My computer is set up to auto-open links in IE, and I use Firefox with its tabs for personal browsing. Both work nicely, and I don't have a preference.

Put me down for "Doesn't Matter".

I voted Other. I use firefox on my gaming PC, and mostly Safari on my Mac, though I have to use Camino for some things.

In the UK do we have a choose?

In the UK a PC and windows are IE the king, not because they are any better. Simply what is the most commonly available,
I would put money on it that if I went out tomorrow to any of the six retailers in my home town I would be able to buy a PC running window straight way, the chances of getting a Mac Zero unless they ordered one specially ZERO.
Any other operating system other than windows, well it's a Do it yourself job to put it on yourself.

If your interested below is the log file of a UK commercial web site I run showing details of the computers of the visitors.

Grrr, I hate that too! In case you run across a page that flat-out does not work in Firefox (rarer, but still out there :( ) ...in case you didn't know about it, there's a plugin that lets you open the offending page in IE, as a tab in your Firefox window (so one of the tabs is really an embedded IE window): https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/

I use Firefox on one desktop and Konqueror (the linux/kde browser that was "borrowed" to make Safari) on another.

It does, and I do. But I must admit that I think of that as a Windows problem.
I'm using Firefox with a pile of plugins:

Fasterfox
McAfee Site Advisor (good for IDing spammy/pop-up sites before you click the Google link)
VideoDownloader (handy for YouTube)
Adblock (three guesses what that does)
DownThemAll (downloader)
PDF Dowload (well, yeah)
BugMeNot (a neat way of getting around compulsory website registration that just turns into spam)

All together, a nice comfy browsing experience. The whole plugin thing is something I really like about Firefox, since it lets me tweak the program in such a way that it works the way I want it to rather than in accord with a programmer's idea of what I want.

I'm on the verge of getting a new computer right now, but I think I'll be sticking with Firefox on whichever OS my new system uses.
Yep, I like to have more control over my internet experience and the plug ins and extensions are great for this. BugMeNot sounds like a good addition.
Micro$oft IE7 is out, but I don't think I'll bother to get it. :)

With all this talk of Firefox, I decided to check it out. I downloaded it last night, and I must say I am sold! This thing is fast! And I love how you can customize it with all the extensions and plug-ins! Right now I'm having fun with the Smiley add-on.

Say, that does look like fun. What was the title of that one? I didn't see it. But then there is a list of 1700 and some extensions to choose from.
