Nice leather creases

I like how this leather is aging. Is it the tanning process or the type of leather that makes it do this? Is the creasing characteristic of any particular leather? I think it may be horse?

Nice. I love it when leathers develop/contain favorable regions like that to where you go for a 'feel' every now and then.

The creasing can be due to many factors. But I would guess that it could be from the particular region of the animal it was cut from (like from the shoulder to the underlimb regions).
