My newest hat always seems to be my favorite. I generally avoid wool hats for reasons known to everyone here, but I couldn’t resist this one from Outback Trading Company. It looked nice in the ads, so I rolled the dice, and man, and I happy with it. I don’t intend to get it as an Alan Grant JP3 hat, but it certainly fits the bill.
My most recent hat, however is this Buford hat by Dirty Billy (in grey). I started following his hat shop on Facebook a couple years ago when I was looking for a good hat for an old west costume. When I saw pics of the Buford hat he made for Sam Elliott in Gettysburg in grey, I thought it looked great. I have second guessed myself on the color, though, and wish I had gotten black after all. I’ll find myself in Gettysburg again next summer. Perhaps I’ll just get another one then.
