I fell in love with these Red Wings, however, I cannot afford them. Does anyone know of a similar looking boot or complete copy that's cheaper?

Tough call. That is such a classic, practical, elegant design that there's no possible mass market for it.

If you could stand a little gingerbread and flash, OTOH, you'd have quite a few well priced choices.

Simplicity has become a luxury. People will pay big for it because marketers won't promote it or let it into the pipeline. What a pretty state of affairs.

what do you want to spend? Why not just wait a little longer and save up for the boots you really want instead of settling for pair that's kinda-close...

I agree with this. I really wanted the Red Wing Iron Rangers and almost settled many times on one of Red Wing's cheaper boots (without a cap toe), but I'm really happy that I got the boots I wanted. I'd wait, personally. I was wearing Doc Martens that were literally falling apart on my feet until I finally had enough for those Iron Rangers.

Hey Gunk,

I have to agree with the guys- save and get the boots you want (that are better), if you can. I know when I started reenacting, and later started trying to wear vintage more and more as everyday clothing, I've wasted more money by buying subsitutes that were cheaper than just buying what I wanted or what was best.

Also, try eBay- second-hand examples of these and other cool boots often show up!
