I'm ready to weigh in with my final thoughts on my Natty Shirts purchase for other Loungers interested. I emailed Natty Shirts with fitting comments and a request for them to make the shirt cuffs with a single button and button hole at a specific distance (as in cuff opening circumference). 12 days later, I received the complete order of shirts, including a replacement for the fitting shirt that had the construction and fitting issues I described in my original review above.

In general, considering the price of $33 per shirt, I am satisfied to the extent I have been when I have found a decent-fitting RTW shirt of comparable price in a local store. The shirt sleeves, chest, waist, and neck fit nicely, I like the classic spear-point collar addition, and the fabric and stitching are nice. However, for the made-to-measure experience, money, and time I put into taking my measurements per Natty Shirt's instructions and then communicating adjustments to them after I received the fitting shirt, I expected a little more preciseness; unfortunately, they only performed fitting adjustments on 1 of the 4 shirts, with two particular issues still present in 3 shirts. A note: I washed the shirts per Natty Shirt's instructions to take into consideration shrinkage before I made the following observations.

3 of the shirts still have excess material at the yoke that wrinkles up into an approx. 3/4 inch/19mm ridge atop my shoulders. In order for these shirts to fit well on the shoulders/nape, I would have to have a considerable hump at my nape or steep sloping shoulders. I pointed out this fitting problem in my original email to them and even included photos. With a jacket on, the issue is not noticeable, but if I take off my jacket it looks bad.

While all the barrel cuffs now have one button and one button hole, only 1 of the 4 shirts has the button sewn to my specified measurement. The other 3 shirts have cuff buttons sewn on ranging from 5mm to 10mm too wide, almost as if they kept the same cuff opening dimensions as the fitting shirt but simply removed the tightest-fitting button. I'm capable of moving the buttons where I need them, and plan on doing so, but I wouldn't expect needing to spend my time adjusting cuff buttons on a made-to-measure shirt.

I understand that a $33 made-to-measure shirt isn't going to be a more-expensive bespoke (there are other fitting issues that I have not mentioned here or to Natty Shirts because I understand fitting issues will exist in a made-to-measure garment), but I do have a problem when the manufacturer claims to make shirts made-to-measure with the option of making fitting adjustments from a fitting shirt and then does not deliver a product with the ordered measurements and adjustments. I'm satisfied with the ordering process, customer service (both email and live chat) and order turnaround time. I suppose if they didn't invite specific notes on fitting during the ordering process and didn't send a fitting shirt before completing the entire order, I wouldn't have much to gripe about, but I feel somewhat mislead.

My experience with Natty and the products we (my son and I) received was quite impressive. For a process that is fraught with opportunity for error, they seemed to have things well under control, and make it very easy and accurate to come up with perfectly fitting shirts. In the event of a problem of any type (fit or finish, etc.) we were immediately sent a corrected shirt. I was most impressed by the experience and help rendered by every representative we spoke with. They were even knowledgeable enough to ask for remeasures when it was apparent to them that our figures were off, and they were always right. My son is over 6'-6", with the arm length of a man of 6'-9", and he only weighs about 225 lbs.; no easy fit. In his words, now that they have his size down, there is no reason to look elsewhere for shirts. Natty is an Excellent resource for all you youngsters who wear collared shirts daily!

I would agree completely. At 6' - 6", with a 40" sleeve and a 22" neck, not to mention tipping the scales at around 370 lbs, I have always been fitted perfectly with Natty. Good products, good price, and good service. I wouldn't even think of buying a dress shirt someplace else. Now, it they only started making a good wool or cotton flannel shirt for work wear in the winter, I'd be set for life. :)

My last experience was also very good, and I agree that a few casual fabrics would be well received.

Just ordered a new shirt through Natty (This will be my 5th), and I chose the gray chamere which is actually a palest dove gray end on end cotton, ordered my usual custom spear-point collar which is an exact facsimile of my favourite vintage shirt, and paired that with mitred cuffs, double pleated back, and curved hem with a chest pocket with a mitred corner and downward chevron overstitch on the opening (one of the basic options). It has already arrived, but I am very far from my house in LA right now and will not be able to get at it until my wedding day (this Saturday; some of my family is bringing it along with my other mail!) Super excited and will give a proper review and pictures a couple of weeks (honeymoon) after receipt! YAY! - Just in time for the hot/tropical weather!

I've been extremely pleased with every shirt I've seen from Natty. They aren't good "for the price," they're just flat out excellent shirts.

Sir,
Labour Day is observed on 1st May every year internationally. Wiki

From Wiki: International Workers' Day, also known as Labour Day in some places, is a celebration of laborers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labor movement, anarchists, socialists, and communists and occurs every year on May Day.

You guys are great capitalists! I love your shirts and prices!!

Maybe they'll give us a Memorial Day Special. Shoot, their regular prices are good, anyway. And they make great shirts.

And no, I am in no way affiliated with Natty Shirts. I'm just a satisfied customer.
