I bought this G1 jacket not so long ago and want to see if some of you know the history. The seller who I bought it from said it is a pre- The Real Mccoy's G1 jacket from the 80's, when Hitoshi Tsujimoto still only sold through magazines in Japan and New Zealand. The man I bought it from said he bought it in New Zealand.
The only Real Mccoy's clue it has is the main tag which states the Infamous 'Stinson Beach' (the fictional USA location from 'The Real Mccoy's universe), but other than that there is no The Real Mccoy's indication, also no further indication of production origin.
It does have this leather tag inside with a diagonal mark that seems to be a brand indication. The jacket is from good quality with a real sheeps fur collar. One other anomaly is the zipper. The runner says Talon, but the zipper itself says YKK.
So what do you think? The Real Mccoys treasure? Or random G1 where somebody sewed a The Real Mccoy's tag in?
