When I was going through chemo and having just discovered this site, THIS was the hat that started it for me. I am not a collector, nor do I like to pose for pictures with me and what I do have. BUT this movie , "Last Man Standing", and the look Bruce Willis had with the "HAT" drove me to get something more than just some cheap cover up my temp baldness with a ball cap look. I like the fact that it may be a bit large for him and that he wears it low, to me its perfect on him and Art made me one that I cherish just as much. Lots of great period style hats in that flick if you have never seen it before.

It's a good look for him. No accident, of course. Movie sets have fashion experts in the wardrobe department. Since Willis has a long narrow face, they put him in the hat in a way that has the brow cut across the brow line to minimize the length of his face to create balance.

I'm no expert but I try to do a similar thing by looking for hats that are appropriate for the size and shape of my face. I try to remember not every great looking hat will look great on me. Some hats that I don't care for look great on me too. For example, I'm not a fan of baseball caps. I think they're an easy cop out for wearing a hat. However, I've been told by my wife and other women that I look really good in a ball cap. I've gotten a lot of flirty glances from coworkers and strangers when I wear them. So I own a couple and wear them on occasion...even though I don't personally hold them in high regard. To me, it's all about trying to create the overall look. Movie actors have the benefit of professional fashion consultants to dress them. If only we could all be so fortunate!

I've always wanted a copy of this hat.

Yep. I'm normally a fan of larger crowned and brimmed hats, but occasionally I'll come across a smaller hat that really does it for me. I get tons of compliments on this one.

I have also been told by a number of women that they really like and prefer me in a ball cap.

Art used to make these, but I am NOT so sure he does anymore. He was a stickler for period correct ribbon he was having a hard time finding it, and a few other things, dimensions related.
While I was waiting for my VS I came across these guys I contacted www.cappelleriamelegari.com they do a relatively inexpensive replica also (wabbit), I thought while I waited for Art, I would wear this baby, sort of like a beater until the BIG DOG was finished. Here is a side by side.......I dare you to pick the correct one.............
I've always wanted a copy of this hat.

I couldn't navigate the website.
Meaning no disrespect, are you guys translating it first? The 4 flags at the top, click on the Union Jack see how that goes for you. I have never had a problem, weird. I recall a while back you had mentioned maybe checking them out, Bob. I didn't want to come across as a cheerleader for them if you had checked them out and didn't care for what you saw.

@wcbrown I found the Last Man Standing Hat on the site . Its not as easy as most , but if you go to handmade hats , it comes up with the rest of the line up . That looks good . Wabbit can make a good Hat . The European Hoods Esther uses are beauties . Art does a great job .

Nuthin wrong with often putting it out there that you like them. Cheer away! I did see lots of hats that interested me. Especially like the idea of European felt. Just held off cuz of the $$$ and unfamiliarity of dealing with someone new and have been searching the bay for bargains and having a few customs made instead.

Anybody see the new WONDER WOMAN? I'm a super amateur but I was really impressed by Steve Trevor's fedora. I wondered what others thought.

I really like the crown dent as well and plan to something similar in my next fedora. What do you call this kind of dent? It's not quite a center dent, more like a long, thin teardrop.
It's a beaut, to be sure. MrsFed and I went to see the movie together. I'm usually the one telling her to be quiet with her remarks during movies, but before I even knew what I happened - as soon as he came on the screen with that blue beauty - I -had blurted out, "WOW, LOOK AT THAT HAT!!!!!" LOL...

I love everything about the hat. Plans to get a custom made are on hold pending funds....

Okay, found the union jack. :)

Now I am looking at the Public Enemy hat, as well as the Last Man Standing hat. They look very similar.
