Hi, Japan resident here, looking for recommendations for a dyed-through horsehide d-pocket. Preferably a Japanese maker, as prices on imports are a little rough over here, and I’m a fan of both Japanese brands and Japanese tanneries anyway.
I was originally looking at RMC’s combination tanned J-24 (BJ19003) but when I went to buy one I found that they had stopped selling/making them. Part of me is hoping they’re just updating to the new fit and will release an updated one later this year, but if not, would anyone either know where i might find one or know of any similar jackets?
Small aside, does anyone know how the flat head FN-LJ-HW004 fades? I was thinking since struck-through horsehide is kind of hard to find in Japan amongst reputed makers, I may want to go for one that fades a little more red. I’ve seen some pictures of the WRJ-51 that seems to take on some of those rust-like tones, but I haven’t seen any of the 004.
