Both are from 1937/8. The serial numbers on the grade are a good help to date Hamis. The Dodson was introduced in 38, and the number seems to be from this year. The Sutton is maybe of the same year or from 37.

- and the cufflinks are a perfect match.

Thanks, I've got them one week before christmas (a gift from me for me ). I am not really sure from when they are, but they look a bit like Art deco or even Art nouveau. So maybe they are from the same "Age".

New to the Lounge, but this a 40's Heuer. I am trying to track down the history of it at the moment, I have the serials etc but its proving a bit evasive. Still I really like it, it runs like a dream and gets revolved around each week with all my other (modern) watches.

I just got this. One of the lugs is broken, so I am going to get a fabric strap for it and sew the side with the broken lug down.

Just picked up a 1960 gold filled Omega Seamaster from my watch repairman:

This is how the watch looked when I bought it, abused, seconds hand missing ant the two other hands painted black, maybe to help a weak sighted person to better se what time it is, some paint had even dripped onto the dial:

I think my watch repairman did a good job here.

Peter, my watch repairman, and his father are known to be the vintage Omega specialists in Denmark - and they happen to have their shop ten minutes walk from where I live

A good watch repair man is hard to find.

I'll second that. I learned the hard way that just because a store sells Rolexes, doesn't mean they can be trusted to perform repairs on more commonplace watches.

That Omega is incredible!

The straps on both the Omega and Longines are good matches. Though the Omogo would imho look quite good with a brown croko-pattern strap.
