Got this one recently. It's not bad.

They don't offer this leather anymore nor some other styles they've done in the past, like the Cheyenne. Good I got mine when I had the chance.

That's a cool looking jacket. If it's like my suede Schott Rancher, it's a pretty heavy and substantial jacket.

It is. 5lbs. Pretty good for a suede jacket. It's split hide but really soft and quite thick. I was looking at some of the Japanese brands yesterday, same split hide, grand and a half. Looks exactly the same. I mean, split hide is split hide. I really don't get it...

My Rancher is also split cowhide. Nice stuff.

@Monitor can you give more details on the unlined trucker you have? I’ve been through the whole thread and it’s one of the nicest here.

Thanks! Hm, not sure I should be saying thanks when someone compliments any of my jacket, I really had nothing to do with its creation...
But anyhow, assuming you mean the Aero and not the old Levi's I posted early in the thread, this jacket's been made by Ken, founder of Aero, as a test sample for this Lee model and eventually ended up on the Sale page, where I got it. It's been going around the factory for a while prior to hitting the sale page. But yeah, it's definitely my favorite jacket and one that has gotten most compliments. Leather is Jerky Horsehide and it's seriously as thick as FQHH.

That’s the one. Do you know if Aero are bringing out that style? I can’t see it on their site.

Hey Corky, how about some more info on it? How old? Where purchased? How much? How did you manage to find H-D leather without all the usual branding all over it?
E-bay purchase $75. Not sure of the age. The buttons have little HD emblems as does the zipper pull. Made in Korea with "American Cowhide". Marked size 42. I might re-line it (the liner is a little ripped inside) and sew the handwarmer pockets closed for a trimmer look. I hate all the branding so this find is awesome. I've been wanting something like this and the price was right.

What a steal! I'd keep the pockets open. I don't like Type III jackets that are missing the handwarmer pockets.

It looks like yours is made from decent leather, and has a nicely broken in look to it. How heavy is it?

There's one similar on ebay right now, but it has a giant logo on the back, which ruins it for me. I wouldn't mind the subtle branding on the buttons and zipper.

Here's another (sold, alas) with zipper and buttons rather than the zipper and snaps. For riding the zipper is a must have.

Here's my levi's slim fit suede trucker. Really one of my favorite jackets since I got it this summer. The suede is light but really beautiful color. View attachment 90521
The only thing that bothers me is this unnecessary seam in the sleeve. The seam bisects the sleeve into two halves needlessly, seemingly just to save leather. It's weird cause nowhere else on the jacket did they do this kind of thing, even the back which requires a large swathe of leather. View attachment 90520

Just got one of these from eBay for a song. Size XL, I usually wear a L but hope this will work as it’s slim fit.
