Looking at the picture of myself and reading your responses, I am hard-pressed to explain what it is that I don't like about this jacket. It is beautifully made, but in my minds eye I was seeing something else. I was imagining a trim fitting 30s half belt from Aero and this jacket feels more like a loose heavy car coat to me.
Is that the Model: M-200? Looks good for cold weather and layering.

Wow Jonesy!!
Didn’t you do a brown Gap black awhile back also?? How’s it looking?
Is Blondie still wet in the pics or is that dried and sealed?
I am imagining how wild that one is gonna look down the road. Sweet job. Thanks for sharing. More pics...of both!

It is mostly dry in these pics. Pretty freshly done though. The shine comes from Feelings Resolene.

A flexible, durable, water resistant acrylic top finish for dyed, antiqued or polished leathers. Produces a medium high gloss finish.
The Gap is still getting use. The shine wears off a bit with use. Will post more pics.

Thanks!

Here are pictures of my GAP and Schott truckers. Colors compliments of Fieblings.

Good job...and very brave! So did you buy the blonde trucker, and then decided you didn't like the color? Or did you intend to dye it from the start?
I've always wondered about the Schott blonde truckers...if the color will change over the years like a natural finish, or if that is the permanent color...

Thanks, i think I got lucky. I bought the "Blondie" not really knowing what I was getting. It was relatively cheap, and long enough for me, for a change. I tried to see what would happen with wear, and minor attempts at distressing it myself. It just looked dirty, not aged looking or any resemblance of "patina". My impression is that it would not age with grace and beauty like a natural skin.
So I went for the Fieblings fix. I like it.

Inspirational. People used to dye stuff all the time back when choice was nil or you had to make things last. Not now a days. I applaud your efforts and you’re good at it. Look forward to seeing them age.
Be well Bowen
