As a bassist, I wouldn’t know anything about that
The world always needs bassists, good bassists and drummers are few and far between :) my ink

I’m heavily tattooed, and honestly I forget about my tattoos most of the time. Still though, I love my ink and want more. It’s just hard blowing a bunch of money on completely unnecessary things now that I have a wife and kids, and many other expensive hobbies.

That said, I’m mildly addicted to finding great artists on Instagram. My back in still empty, gotta find the right artist (and $50k).

from illustrator point of view, tattoo is 2D art placed on ever deforming 3D lump , and on a media that is not hi definition and not in archival quality, every line will blur, every color will change or fade, the shape will change along with the growing or shrinking of the lump of flesh, and worst part, we can change clothes, we can take off accessories and wear another, we can grow or shave our beard or hair, but tattoos are there permanently and yet degrading in their clarity.

I can't see the future me, I'm not sure my taste would be eternal, so I can't commit to something I would wear until the day I die or spending lots of money to erase it. I'm too much of ctrl+Z freak to have something that can't be undone, I'm afraid I would think gee what if this part is a little bit bigger, or damn that nose looks crooked if I twist my arm like this and I'm powerless to do anything about it.

and I have my younger brother who's adding seemingly pretty "random" tattoos started with a cross, and then a yinyang, and then viking symbolism he misunderstood as trinity, and some thing else, and some koi fishes, so I don't have to ink myself to vaguely see how it would look on someone that roughly resembles myself

if the tattoo has something to do with some order or brotherhood I'm loyal to then I would accept it, maybe I can wear a cross because I'm loyal to it and it is less likely that any tattoo artist would f' ked up just a simple protestant cross, but I can just wear a cross pendant
