[Miss 1940's]

This sweet and lovely Sheer Dress is something out of the Book "The Great Gatsby". The dress is ruched at the shoulders with a Drop waist and Bias Cut.Its a large size, it seem the under arms were sewed up a bit because they are rather large. Also, it seems that someone put in a metal zipper on the size of the dress; this must have been later on.The dress is rather large, and I am about 95% sure that in fact it is vintage 1920s-1930s, but I could be wrong,but I do know it is Vintage.
the measurements are
18 inches flat ****
its pretty much boxed shape like all dresses from the 20's were.
Shoulders are 15 inches across
41 inches from shoulders to hem

This darling vintage 1940s 1950s chic black crepe on satin dress is amazing. I acquired it out of Western Costume, a Costume warehouse that is located in Hollywood, California; that supplied Wardrobe to movies for over 90 years.
The dress is a Larger size,and has this almost flamenco style to it. There are some issues with Fade.The shoulders are faded by the lights in the Facility,there is some fade to pretty much 65% of the satin which is common, its called fume fade. This can be fixed by spot dyeing.This dress still has a lot of life in it, and can be worn.

18 inches flat from cuff of wrist to sleeve
17 inches across shoulders
48 inches from shoulder to hem of dress
dress is as is condition since its vintage and there is some fade

These amazing 1920's 1930's Vintage art deco silk shoes are perfect for any dressy event you might be going to, or for your collection.These shoes are so glamorous , they would have been worn by the likes of Jean Harlow or Joan Crawford, and Perhaps they were because I got them at a Costume Warehouse that Supplied all the studios in Hollywood, California.
The shoes have a lot of life still in them, they just need some TLC. The silk is shattered in parts, they could use a good cleaning and perhaps re-souled.
The measurements are
10 inches from toe to heel.. inside the shoe
2.5 inches wide heel
1.5 inches wide arch
3 inches wide at ball of foot
I think they are about a size 8 or 8 1/2
I am not to knowledgeable about shoe sizes... I wear a 7 1/2 and they are about 1 size too big.
