John Lofgren Engineer Boots Horween Chromexcel Black 8.5. Condition is New in the box.

Amazing boots unfortunately a little tight on me as I have wide feet, I was hoping to stretch these out , but decided just to get a pair that is a half size bigger, so I’m selling this pair. I have never worn these outside, only tried it inside the house few times, before deciding to sell. I bought these and Badallasi ones , that I already sold some time ago on the forum. Even though these were a better fit, it is still tight on my wide feet and I am to lazy to put work into stretching these out

I got it from Standard and strange store and it was their last pair in 8.5 . Left boot have bunch of creases at the ankle and right have a few as well, because of the customers trying it on the specific creasing found on the boots is inevitable and perfectly normal in the lifespan of a pair of engineer boots and does not affect the structural integrity of the boots, I can also see few very minor tiny scratch marks on the side of the boots , my guess is that it came from buckles while being stored in the box. It’s very tiny and impossible to capture on the camera , but I want potential buyers to be aware .

Please look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions

Big7,

Could you share some sizing info on these boots? For example, how do these boots fit in relation to your size in other shoes, such as Vans, Chuck Taylor, etc.

Thanks!

  1. I'm size 9.5 in sneakers,sometimes 9.
9 in dress shoes, unless they have E width, than I can go down to 8.5 Like Allen Edmonds strand.
I'm 8E in RW Iron Rangers with plenty of room left in the toe box, same with Allen Edmonds Normandy 8 3E,Wolverine I can do 8 or 8.5, feel good in both.
I got Lofgren in 8.5 . The feel very nice, but it is a bit tight in the toe box, because I have wide feet, but by the feel of the boot and the leather, I have a feeling it will stretch, I just have so many other shoes and boots, that I really do not feel like doing the work :)
I also tried Wesco boots, which I'm size 9E to be more or less comfortable, but the thing with Wesco, these are huge - bulky boots, and I have ended up returning it
it is exact same size as Alden Barrie and rw heritage

  2. Here is some more sizing information from Standard and Strange:
    Sizing:
Choose the same size as your Red Wing Iron Ranger or Alden Barrie last size.
Choose 0.5 size bigger than your Viberg 2030 last size.

Some more sizing information from Eastwest :
size 8 for example is similar to
    White’s Boots: 7.5-8 D or E width
    Truman Boots: 8.5
