Well it's been snowing here since 8 o'clock this morning with no end in sight - school board just cancelled school tomorrow and a plow pushed a 5' tall berm of snow across the mouth of my driveway. Why do I suffer like this? Really, I'm originally from South Texas, we don't do this down there.
Sigh.
Anyway, on a quick break from shovelling and football games I have a question about Indian Motorcycle D-pockets. In Finds and Deals earlier this week someone posted a size 36 at a vintage shop in the States and I'm truly tempted - now don't anyone go pouncing on it yet.
@Monitor wrote a bangin' description of the Sugarcane repro he picked up and subsequently offered for sale awhile back...

The one in question, however, does not mention Sugarcane so my question is: does anyone know where Indian Motorcycles get their leather jackets manufactured?
This looks too new to be from the 1950s, yet the collar tag doesn't reference Sugarcane the way that the one @Monitor owned did. It's apparently horsehide and looks to be in good shape. The lining looks nice and the measurements seem really good for me. I'm completely unfamiliar with Indian Motorcycle gear so I have no idea if this is a quality piece or not.
Per the seller:
Length back collar to hem - 22"
Pit to Pit - 19.5”
Shoulders across - 17”
Waist: 34"
And the price - $500 USD - seems reasonable-ish, but then again I have no idea.
If anyone here can speak to this I'd be very appreciative, thank you. If you're in the States getting' hammered with snow and the kids home from school tomorrow, I feel ya.
