In Praise of FL Lurkers

It's nice that there are people who will come to learn or seek information. They might feel most comfortable 'lurking'. They might even join up eventually.

It's also nice that there is a place for so many people to come and contribute on their particular specialised field or their vast, all encompassing knowledge. I like reading all the different views and opinions and a well crafted arguement.

I visit most days in many forums and read alsorts of threads that I won't post in. Guess I'm stuck here now - can't seem to give it up!

I found the FL looking for hairstyle info and shopping resources. Little did I know the Powder Room and Beauty Lounge is inhabited by some first-class serious enablers.

My wallet is much less happy, but I did finally learn a thing or 20 about doing my hair!

I joined immediately but lurked until I learned the lay of the land, so to speak.

Lurkers are good, but posting is more fun!

i only joined very very recently!
as soon as i knew what this place was i thought: I'M JOINING!
i mean, i just had to ask all my questions and get answers.

Unfortunately i felt like a bit of a fool because i then realised i didn't know anything.

But, i'm learning and i try to put in as much as i can, because i want to contribute, too!

so yeah, a lurker for a few hours before i became simply infatuated with FL.
Now i'm just in love, haha. I swing by every day!

I lurked this site for months before I signed up. It helps you get a feel for the place. The etiquette of the FL is worlds apart from those of many other forums.
I still regularly lurk now I'm a member too.

Oh, I lurked for a long time! I registered in 2006 and I think my first post was in 2008. Never posted a photo of myself, but maybe some day. I'm always surprised that the number of guests viewing can be nearly 3 times as many members that are logged on. For the most part, Loungers are well spoken, incredibly knowledgeable and polite - and the Bartenders keep this place top notch.

Thanks for the kudos to "lurkers". I've lurked and learned. I lurk a while most days. I have learned quite a bit not only about hats but much about dress and styles and history and more.
I thoroughly many of the posts. I am also glad FL doesn't kick us lurkers off the board as some forums do. Now I need to return to the shadowy world.
