If you said you looked like one celebrity from the Golden Era...

I did my heritage one more time with a different picture and this time I did end up with one Golden era star: Cary Grant 74% (must be the dimple in my chin:p ) Annete Bening 78% (a possibility) Audrey Tautou 73% (I have been told I look like Amalie a time or two) and Claudia Schiffer 75% (ok-don't be rediculous now! - I don't see it... at all LOL!) The rest were a bunch of modern stars I do not know.

I see the resemblance to Bebe Neuwirth in your original, but I think you are much prettier!

Awww thanks Chuck! Actually in the 90's when Bebe Neuwirth played Lilith on Cheers, I used to have several people that called me Lilith because they said I looked like her and they also said her very dry (but funny) personality that she had on the show was like mine but as the years have gone by I have lightened up and I do not have such a stiff, formal personality. Goofball is now more like it:p (I try not to take life to seriously!)

Who have you been told you resemble? Who would you like to resemble?

This is yet another of my virtual hand grenades rolled across the floor.;)

I have been told by many different people, at different times, in different locales, that I bear a strong resembelance to the late actor Burt Lancaster, in his later years.
I suppose there is a kind of general likeness in shape of nose and head, as well as the whiteness of cropped hair and moustache.
But, no more than a general likeness.
If I were thinner, I would have said the elder James Coburn.

I have no desire to be a "look-a-like" of anyone in particular.
I am more or less satisfied with who I am and what I look like; and would do nothing to either enhance any resemblance or change my looks, although I must admit I would prefer a bit less of me. Ergo Weight Watchers.lol lol lol

Who do you look like? Who would you like to look like?:)

Not quite Golden Era, but my friends just saw Lust, Caution (which takes place in the 40s) and commented that I look like Tony Leung.

Spencer Tracy?

A few folks have said that my current avatar has a 'bit of' Spencer Tracy going on in it[huh]

I'm not sure, but...it's a great compliment for someone to say that anyway :)

I was a dead ringer for Ed from Smash back in 92.... if only the New WAve of New Wave (TM the NME) had lasted, I could have had quite the looky-likey career! I get Tim Curry a lot in the Rocky Horror circles (especially in costume. I was once or twice told Steve Buscemi.... Noone I've ever been told I look like came up in the "My Heritage" analysis:

<a href="http://www.myheritage.com/collage" title="MyHeritage - free family trees, genealogy and face recognition" alt="MyHeritage - free family trees, genealogy and face recognition" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.myheritagefiles.com/H/storage/site1/files/04/08/11/040811_8323251e5fd074zk9mvc91.JPG" width="500" height="574" border="0" ></a>

Hmmn. Not entirely convinced.... I've never heard of most of these folks (I know who Britany Murphy is, vaguely, and Mel Gibson. Otherwise.... [huh] ). The other two it matched me to were Debora Kerr (59%) and Jacques Santer (58%). I'm rather insulted to be compared to Ronan Keating, King of Bland to be honest. I don't think I look remotely like any of the people this thing pulled up! lol

ETA: Anyone know how to post this so it shows? I don't get HTML.... :(

Or click on the little Yellow Mountain-looking thingie when you go to post a comment and paste the url in the pop-up box. If your pop-up blocker is on you may have to temporarily allow it.

I don't think I resemble anybody famous but it's 2:30 am and I can't sleep so I did the MyHeritage thing just for kicks. My results were:

Julie Christie 63% (I wish!)
Miranda Richardson 62% (see above)
Christie Brinkley 61% (whaaa? I look nothing like her!)
Kirsten Dunst 60% (eh, maybe...vaguely)
Drew Barrymore 58% (a toss up between vaguely and I wish)

I can't figure out the html thing for MyHeritage either Edward.

Now that you mention it I completely see the Spencer Tracy resemblance Paddy--I also agree with the folks who have said Daniel Craig.

Mr. Rover, I think you're better looking than Tony Leung (and you probably have a better wardrobe!)
:eek:fftopic: I really want to see that movie.

Hmmm, I don't think I'm sold on this fancy contraption.

I can't get my profile to post either, but it said I looked 90% like Kate Winslet! Ha, that's a good one!

I think the problem is not with how we're posting the pictures, the problem is with the link the site provides, it doesn't seem to work right.

I just had to share this one! I put in a new picture and it said that I look 74% like Stan Lee, 70% like Rita Hayworth, 62% like Peter Falk, 62% like Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Now there's an oddball collection!

Way at the bottom of the list, it said that I look 58% like Ozzy Osborne. lol lol lol lol

Someone once said that about me too BeBop - the Ozzy thing that is.

I don't know about you, but I think either Ozzy's had some reconstructive surgery that Mrs Osbourne really needs to know about, or that thing doesn't work right!

Result: I looked like a lot of people - both sexes - I did not even know.
And did not even care to google. So who cares.[huh]

Out of interest Spitfire I tried it on my mum - a photo of whom is shown elsewhere in the Lounge with me and my dad.

Every single one of her lookalikes was a man.

Even weirder, both she and my dad are apparently dead ringers for Yitzhak Rabin. Which is odd, cos she's four-foot-eleven and has white hair in a bob, and dad is six-foot-odd, wears glasses, and has browny-blonde-y hair
