I'm highly considering a mackinaw style jacket for winter, something like the old jeep jackets minus the belt (or just a half belt) with shearling liner through Johnson Leather. They said they could do it if I could supply some fabric, as they have shearling. Question is, what's a good fabric to use? I was really hoping for some kind of heavyweight brushed twill that feels cozy, but I'm also considering a modern weather resistant fabric. Either way it would need to be sufficiently heavy to not feel off with the shearling liner. Or... another idea I had was a flight jacket with a removable lightweight shearling vest for maximum versatility. I hate winter but I sure do love sheepskin.

Looks rugged
Exactly my style ;) Supposedly this one was crafted to replicate the Bane characters jacket from Batman. Can't say I recall seeing it or the movie in full detail but I really dig the military look of this jacket. And useful pockets!

Sadly, I only have tracking for one of the above. The rest are still in the ether but should slowly trickle in over the next few weeks/months. 4:3 denim leather ratio.
Time to chill. Got a little carried away of late.

Finally receiving my Aero STF Bootlegger in tobacco badalassi ordered in April this week. Hopeful to also receive my Fields Cafe Racer this week. Let's go mr mailman, bring it to my home.
Two of my favorite Browns, the badalassi and the aniline shinki. I say you should write a review on both of these jackets.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered this budget Brakeman type jacket I'd seen- https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000919400308.html I've a couple of baker/chore type wool jackets I've been wearing quite a bit and wanted to try something in leather, came in just over £100 all in so seemed worth a gamble.
Should arrive in the next few days according to the tracking.

Apparently I needed to fill the void after selling my vintage Vanson Force. This jacket descended from the heavens and put itself in front of my eyes. PayPal did the rest. Brand spanking NOS w tags even, Vanson Force 40. Custom I think, given the zip cuffs, unique sleeve patter, no pistol belt loops. I don’t even want to take the tag off and wear it !

That is really nice! Perfect. Awesome riding jacket huh?

And the main zip isn’t a 2-way. Another sign this isn’t OTR.

Seriously, this one blew me away when it arrived. Somehow this tops my prior Force I sold to help fund a semi custom winter Vanson idea I have. Huge + in my book that it's not a 2way zip. Always seemed odd to me on a short already waist length jacket. I sent Kim V a note with the serial# hoping for some background info. Should I wear this or just keep it pristine in packaging ?! I put it on to just check fit but I didn't want to even crease the arms lol. Jacket sickness I agree ha!

That jacket, like all Vanson’s, was made to be worn. Now put it on and knock some of the new out of it!

I dont understand the neck button tab, does it go behind the neck when closed? How does that work?

I think it's a throat latch which is attached to the under collar when not in use? Similar to the throat latch on a classic Trenchcoat.
