Apparently I needed to fill the void after selling my vintage Vanson Force. This jacket descended from the heavens and put itself in front of my eyes. PayPal did the rest. Brand spanking NOS w tags even, Vanson Force 40. Custom I think, given the zip cuffs, unique sleeve patter, no ****** belt loops. I don’t even want to take the tag off and wear it !

Couldn't resist a J100 in a 42 in that sort of condition. Hopefully works out to a great fit, by the numbers should be sick.

Seriously, this one blew me away when it arrived. Somehow this tops my prior Force I sold to help fund a semi custom winter Vanson idea I have. Huge + in my book that it's not a 2way zip. Always seemed odd to me on a short already waist length jacket. I sent Kim V a note with the serial# hoping for some background info. Should I wear this or just keep it pristine in packaging ?! I put it on to just check fit but I didn't want to even crease the arms lol. Jacket sickness I agree ha!

That jacket, like all Vanson’s, was made to be worn. Now put it on and knock some of the new out of it!

I dont understand the neck button tab, does it go behind the neck when closed? How does that work?

I think it's a throat latch which is attached to the under collar when not in use? Similar to the throat latch on a classic Trenchcoat.

It sur is, i just don't understand the design of it...
Why does it have buttons and velcro?
Ohh, maybe there is a patch of velcro in the back of the neck similar to the one on the collar. And the button is there to fully remove the latch if not needed?

No Velcro on back of neck, just the other side. Button seems to be the anchor point, and like you say, easily removable. Edit: I reread your post- yep, I think the picture illustrates what you are saying.

Not sure why my perforated jacket has it. Probably just easier to have just one Force design to build. I guess it’ll keep rain off of the neck but I’ve never tried it.
